Employment:

Aug 2008 – Present:

I am currently a self employed mortgage and protection advisor.

This involves:

1) Developing new areas of marketing

2) Advising clients on the most appropriate mortgage and protection solutions

3) Advising business customers on best way to protect their business in the event of death or illness.

Jun 2006 – Aug 2008:

I worked as a Business Development manager, covering an area of 18 postcodes consisting of 200+ brokers. During my time at *******, I hit the quarterly target each quarter, expect for one in which I achieved 95%. I was also the highest Sub Prime producing business development manager in the country during Quarter 3 of 2007, which was the first quarter ******** had bought the product to the market. My job role also involved:

1) Meeting mortgage advisors to discuss the needs of their particular clients and to demonstrate how the products ******** offers can meet those needs.

2) Offering assistance in shaping cases on criteria or specific underwriting issues.

3) Liaising between mortgage brokers and head office to ensure the smooth processing of applications which encounter difficulties.

4) Analysing management information to allow me to plan my activities in an efficient and effective manner.

5) Keeping abreast of market conditions to enable me to spot opportunities which ****** products will offer a solution.

6) Coaching advisors on ******* products, which include residential, 100%+, buy to let and more recently specialist lending.

Apr 2005 – Jun 2006:

At ********* I was a mortgage advisor. The position involved:

1) Being fully compliant within FSA guidelines

2) Finding my clients the best deal from a panel of 19 lenders

3) Addressing my clients’ life cover, critical illness, redundancy and income protection needs.

4) Coach and support other members of staff.

Apr 2004 – Apr 2005: I spent this time travelling in Europe and working at festivals and markets.

Jan 2003 – Apr 2004:

At the ******* I worked as a Mortgage Manager. The position involved:

1) Being fully qualified and compliant with current regulations.

2) Thinking about and implementing new ways of increasing business.

3) To coach and feedback to other members of staff.

4) Liaising with other internal areas in order to implement new mortgage cases.

5) Advising customers on the best mortgage product for them.

6) Reviewing the customer’s current protection situation and advising where necessary.

Oct 1998 – Jan 2003:

During my time at the ******* I worked in the following roles:

1) General administration on various accounts in regard to Teacher’s AVCs.

2) Head of teams, which audited the annual accounts, for Teacher’s AVCs and Stakeholder products. This also involved liaising with internal and external customers to ensure the work was completed in a timely manner.

3) Technical consultant for the Teacher’s AVC call centre.

4) I was responsible for the training of the staff members of my teams.
